Maria-Patricia Lupașcu
Lupașcu Maria-Patricia came to love working with her hands from a very early age. Ceramics is one of the materials that allows her to express her thoughts into a physical form. As a designer, she approaches her work with consideration of shape,
color and aesthetics. Shapes are very important to her, because they are to be used for many different purposes. They activate our sense of tactility and enhance the visual experience.
Bubble Vessel Collection
When thinking of Darkness Enlightened, Lupascu imagined what darkness would look like in a tangible form, inspired by boiling tar and viscous matters that bubble up to the surface like the inside of a volcano.
In this work she defines movement, fluidity, liquid matter that swirls and bubbles up.
Looking beyond the constraints of dark matter, she uses the shape to create new vessels with their own identity.
