Denise Boomkens

Only Female Artists Ambassador
Only Female Artists is proud to welcome a new ambassador: Denise Boomkens, the founder of AndBloom!

"I’m Dee, the founder of AndBloom, an online platform created for women over 40 and beyond. When I entered my early 40s, I eagerly searched for inspiration and guidance on navigating this new phase of life, but I struggled to find resources that resonated with me. With a background in photography, I decided to start capturing portraits of the incredible women around me. Over the course of three years, I photographed around 150 women between the ages of 40 and 100."

"I began sharing these portraits on Instagram, and to my surprise, my work was met with overwhelming positivity from women around the world. Now, six years later, AndBloom has grown into a daily source of inspiration for countless women, with over a million followers across various social media platforms."

"With a focus on age-positivity and women’s empowerment, I am naturally drawn to initiatives that align with these values. Art, culture, fashion, and beauty are among my favorite subjects, making Rademakers Gallery’s initiative a perfect fit for me. My favorite artists include Heavan Lee and Marjolein Verstappen, whose work resonates deeply with my vision."

Haevan Lee’s philosophy that "art is a stance towards life" and her vision of connecting the visible world with the invisible through the "third eye" deeply resonate with me. Her approach embodies a blend of vision, attitude, and imagination that I strive to cultivate within AndBloom. By bridging the known and the unknown, Haevan not only creates visually stunning works but also invites viewers to engage with deeper meanings and perspectives. This alignment of artistic vision and empowerment makes Haevan Lee an artist who truly inspires and appeals to me.

What particularly draws me to Marjolein Verstappen's art is her focus on the process itself—experimenting with paint and various materials, and allowing herself to simply enjoy the creative journey. This aspect of her work aligns with my own belief in the importance of art as a form of exploration and self-discovery. Her art offers a glimpse into her inner world, and in doing so, it invites viewers to connect with their own inner landscapes.
